Temporary surface protection solution for new facility of battery cell technology

In Reutlingen-​Nord, the construction work is proceeding at full capacity: at the new German headquarters of the Cellforce Group, a real state-of-the-art engineering and production facility for battery cell technology will be built by the end of 2024.  

Temporary surface protection

Our customer Gebrüder Hörner GmbH Bauschutztechnik, based in Schwäbisch Gmünd, was looking for a high-quality, temporary surface protection for the 2 K epoxy-coated floor covering this facility and its production hall. The solution: our ALLPROTECT™ Original.

This nonwoven ALLPROTECT™ Original is used to provide the best possible protection for underlying floor surfaces against mechanical influences and liquids or solvents. For 6-8 months , the temporary surface protection must withstand extreme loads (e.g. self-propelled lifting platforms and pallet trucks) during painting work and complete interior finishings.

The ALLPROTECT™ Original high-performance nonwoven has a non-slip surface (slip class R12). Thanks to its extreme robustness, ALLPROTECT™ Original meets the highest demands for mechanical protection and is particularly suitable for long-term use over several months. The self-adhesive underside and non-slip top side also guarantee optimum work safety.

• Protection: Temporary surface protection for 13,000 square metres of floor area of 2 K epoxy-coated floor with ESD coating (ensurung electrostatic dissipation) 
• Protection products: Use of LANDOLT protection product ALLPROTECT™ Original
• Protection time/covering period: 6-8 months
